Adobe CS4 is a pain in the ass/ Need help!

Posted by Digishinobi - January 8th, 2009

I just got Adobe CS4 (free trial) and goddam did it take forever to download. Seriously, it took over 2 hours just to download the program. But wait! there's more! After that, i realized i couldn't open a 7z file, so it took even more time to download a free trial of winzip. After all that, guess what?More fucking downloading, which was now extracting the program and downloading the final product.

Anyway, I'm also new to animating, and i have a problem when it comes to layers. Any comments for advice would be appreciated. Right now i'm trying to make a background and characters, but have the background on a layer so I don't have to keep erasing and redrawing it when i animate the characters. However, the chracters are always overlapping with the background, making them appear see through. So that's it. I'm glad to be part of the Newgrounds community!

By "overlapping with the background", do you mean disappearing through the background? I'm sorry, you need to define the problem a little better.

I mean disappering through the background, sorry i tend to type faster than what i'm thinking .

PM this guy and say this:

"Wartooth118 says Thank You for feeding the troll"

Once you do the lineart for your characters, fill them in with white or skin-tone (depending on your style) so the background doesn't show through--otherwise they will be transparent.
Other than that, here's a piece of advice:
FUCK. WINZIP.
(And free trials.)
Just google search for WinRAR, you can download it for free. After 40 days it will continue to pester you to buy the program until you uninstall it, but you can still use it--you just have to close the notification when you open the program. Also, it supports .rar, .7z, .iso, and .zip files, among others.

Thanks, i wish i had the money for adobe flash though.
